This 60 seat 1960 RM Routemaster bus for sale has a convertible open top, and is presented in very good condition with the rigid closed top fitted (as photo, right), and Timebus red livery.
All the removable sections of the convertible top are professionally made made of Aluminium (as is the standard Routemaster bodywork) to avoid rust issues, and are held in place with bolts and screws.
The convertible closed top roof and sides are removable in rigid sections, leaving only the front and rear dome sections with a permanent roof (as photo, left). The remainder of the upper deck becomes open top, with handrails along the sides.
The upper deck was professionally converted for open top use, and refurbished in 2014 including an extra water drain and new sealed vinyl floor covering.
