Job Opportunities

Timebus team photo

Would you enjoy crewing the type of high quality, restored heritage London buses we operate? Why not join the Timebus team?

We are hiring and would like to hear from you if you are available for occasional work, especially at weekends, and especially in Summer. You don't need to be a bus enthusiast to do these jobs.

We are based in Hertfordshire, between St Albans and Potters Bar.

Our buses attract positive comments, waves and photos from the public who enjoy seeing these London icons still on the road. You'll feel proud to be a member of crew on board. We hire them for family celebrations, promotions, tours and more- please see Ideas and About Us.

We don't operate them on scheduled bus routes, railway replacement services, school services and more- please see our FAQ. There is no fare collection.

Routemaster Bus Driver

The roles of a Timebus driver include safety (road, staff & public), customer care (especially when working without a conductor), observing legislation (eg hours rules), upholding the standard of vehicle presentation, and organizational skills (eg timekeeping).

A Timebus uniform is provided.

Driving Routemasters is not particularly physically taxing; there is power assisted steering and braking, although there is a high cab access door over the front wheel.
